I cannot open FModel.exe

Whenever I start up FModel, I get a notification that says "The file or directory \SteamLibrary\steamapps is corrupt and unreadable. Please run the Chkdsk utility" and FModel throws multiple errors, the first one says

"An unhandled System.IO.IOException occurred: The invocation of the constructor on type 'FModel.MainWindow' that matches the specified binding constraints threw an exception."

then "An unhandled System.IO.IOException occurred: The type initializer for 'FModel.Services.ApplicationService' threw an exception."

then closes, the "Reset options" button does nothing, and I also tried deleting the FModel folder in appdata, but nothing worked.

UPDATE: Figured it out! the Steam directory on my external hard drive was corrupted, unplugging said drive lets FModel boot up as intended
