Syntax query #44

Hi,
If I want to use syntax query as :
Create Vertex Status set content = 'test' or
Create edge written from #11:0 to #12:1
What should type I use?
$db->select(Create Vertex Status set content = 'test') or the orthers??
or how I can connect 2 vertex
I just recently learned about OrientDb and need for help.
