I'm just checking, the barcode reader isn't supposed to work at the moment?

Knowing that a lot of open source android apps use Zxing, I found a typescript library that might help https://github.com/zxing-js/library

@Baggypants Barcode works. just the auto scan not working. Click on the icons both auto scan & force scan to see if it helps. It uses OpenFoodFacts. I didn't update it to work with other providers yet.

The library you mentioned is the one I am already using. I tried to other open library as well. Even added toggle for diffferent libraries at one point and found zxing performed better in all my testing. So removed all others and defaulted it with zxing for now. But yeah depends on the phone , lighting its performance is not great.

Glad to hear you're using zxing, but I just get a black rectangle in Fennic on Android and Safari on iOS 16.

Oh, I bet it's because I'm not using ssl..

Do you need to allow the camera access? Can you find the log from server or browser . If not let me see if I can add log in my next release to trouble shoot further

yep. thats the issue. You will need SSL for the camera to work
