I wanted to know if there could be any Datadog cost implications if we connect Github source code repos to Datadog

Connecting your GitHub repos to Datadog via the Source Code Integration/GitHub App doesn’t have its own line-item price. Any costs come from the Datadog products whose features you enable with that integration.

What can add cost (examples):

• Code Security (SAST/SCA/IAST): billed per committer — Code Security $25, or Code Security Bundle $40 (annual pricing, US site).
• Software Delivery features:
  • Pipeline Visibility: $8 per active Git committer (3×/mo counted).
    -Test Optimization: $20 per active Git committer (3×/mo counted).
• ogs/Audit data: if you stream GitHub audit logs or alerts into Datadog Logs, those are billed at log ingestion rates (from $0.10/GB).
• Cloud Cost Management (optional): if you turn on the GitHub Costs integration, it lives under Cloud Cost Management (per-host pricing).

Free to connect, pay for what you use: The repo connection mostly unlocks features (e.g., inline code snippets in APM/Error Tracking, PR comments for Test Optimization/Code Security). Using those features is billed under their respective products; the connection itself isn’t separately charged.
