Add a 'DeSci' category

There is a user that has been asking for a 'DeSci' category for over a year now.
Now that Causes have launched, they want to be able to filter projects by that category to be added to their Cause.

Can we make this happen?

Hi all,

This is Swift Evo, from Gitcion Grants DeSci community round working group. Under different leadership, there are five DeSci community round happened since 2022, allocating over $700K to support DeSci ecosystem development.

Spark is our recently new sub-team, which hope to explore more possibilities to support DeSci, not only through Gitcoin Grants community round. Therefore, we set up a Cause aiming to include all DeSci legit project into it. It can open another windows to the whole DeSci ecosystem.

However, we realized that there is an option of DeSci when creating the project, but therer is no a DeSci option when searching about it. We can filter it manually, but it will consume us lots of time.

Hope GIVETH can make an update to include DeSci as a catagory in the filter when we searching suitable projects adding into our Cause.

@WhyldWanderer DeSci is subcategory of the Technology main category. You want to add DeSci as main category? If you want that we need to add one or more subcategory. Also we need the for 159 projects add new subcategory under DeSci main category and then remove previous subcategory desci under technology.

We need toc heck with @laurenluz and @GardnerLou do we need new main category.

I tried just for example can we filter by that subcategory, but no luck. We have query for fetching all projects that we are using on various pages on the FE, big query, that have option only to filter by main category, if we add subcategory we should also change BE to enable filtering by subcategory. Then enable additional field for subcategory that it can be used for filtering (e.g. Can be sued for filtering.), we can't provide all approx. 70s categories to be listed there.

I need approval to proceed for further development in this issue.

Let's just make some subcategories for it and call it a day then.

So DeSci is the main category and subs can be:

1. Scientific Research
2. Knowledge sharing
3. Science Tools & Infra
4. Biotech & Health
