Does not work with SafeXcel EIP-197

EIP-197 is a hardware crypto engine found in some Marvell and Mediatek SoCs.
I tried on Mediatek MT7986 with ovpn module and EIP-197, and found that only small packets went through.

ovpn just uses the kernel crypto APIs, without any assumption on the underlying layer.
Therefore either SafeXcel is broken on that platform or maybe it requires some customized option?
Have you tested any other software using SafeXcel on that specific platform/kernel?

Sync and async requests take different code paths, which may explain this issue.

I've tested Linux built-in self-tests:
In menuconfig, unselect CONFIG_CRYPTO_MANAGER_DISABLE_TESTS, then select CONFIG_CRYPTO_MANAGER_EXTRA_TESTS
And EIP-197 driver passed all tests.

As mentioned before in your email, you have an MT7981 board, so you can test the async code path on that.
