Custom HTTP/S Proxy not working

As the title, the custom proxy when configured is not working neither is the system proxy option when the system's proxy has been manually set systemwide

Interesting and a bit difficult to track this one down. There is nothing specifically to tamper with proxy settings or suppress that configuration. I also checked Arkenfox, but to my understanding there is also nothing to prevent those settings from being applied.

What did you to confirm the proxy is actually working properly? Did you try the proxy itself with wget or curl? I assume you are running squid or something similar?

I did test the proxy by cli/terminal ip trace and with system browser/ firefox systemwide (when sent in ubuntu network setting) and custom http/https proxy setting. The proxy service was being run through docker ( https://github.com/zhaow-de/rotating-tor-http-proxy )..
