Prompt intent always echoed in English before answering #215

Description

Describe the bug
The extension always prepends a verbose English description of the prompt’s intent, even when the user interacts in another language.
This happens before the actual response, which is also initially in English, followed by a translated version.
It disrupts the user experience, especially in multilingual contexts.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Go to the raycast-g4f extension in Raycast
  2. Ask a question in a language other than English, e.g., Che modello sei?
  3. Observe the response
  4. The first line is a meta-description in English (e.g., “The user is asking ‘…’ in Italian. I should state that…”), followed by the actual answer (first in English, then translated)

Expected behavior

  • The assistant should reply directly in the language used in the prompt.
  • It should not include the intent explanation unless explicitly requested.
  • If the intent explanation is useful (e.g., for debugging or clarity), it should be clearly separated from the actual response — for example, by structuring the output into two sections: Intent detected: “The user is asking…” and Response: actual answer in the correct language.
  • English meta-comments should be avoided by default when the user’s prompt is in another language.

Additional Context

Another example could be the "Translate" feature. If I try to translate the first paragraph of this issue, I get a very long output displaying what seems the prompt injected by the feature itself.

Output

The user wants an Italian translation of the provided English text. I need to translate the text accurately and return only the Italian version.

1. Analyze the English text:

  • “The extension always prepends a verbose English description of the prompt’s intent” -> L’estensione antepone sempre una descrizione verbosa in inglese dell’intento del prompt

  • “even when the user interacts in another language.” -> anche quando l’utente interagisce in un’altra lingua..
  • “This happens before the actual response,” -> Questo avviene prima della risposta effettiva,
“which is also initially in English,” -> che è anch’essa inizialmente in inglese,

  • “followed by a translated version.” -> seguita da una versione tradotta.

  • “It disrupts the user experience,” -> Interrompe l’esperienza utente,

  • “especially in multilingual contexts.” -> specialmente in contesti multilingue.

    2. Combine the translated parts into coherent Italian sentences:
  • L’estensione antepone sempre una descrizione verbosa in inglese dell’intento del prompt, anche quando l’utente interagisce in un’altra lingua.

  • Questo avviene prima della risposta effettiva, che è anch’essa inizialmente in inglese, seguita da una versione tradotta.

  • Interrompe l’esperienza utente, specialmente in contesti multilingue.

    3. Refine the translation for natural flow:
  • The combined sentences are already quite natural. Maybe combine the last two sentences? “Questo avviene prima della risposta effettiva, che è anch’essa inizialmente in inglese, seguita da una versione tradotta, interrompendo l’esperienza utente, specialmente in contesti multilingue.” Or keep them separate for clarity. The separate version seems fine.

    4. Final Check:
  • Does the translation accurately convey the meaning of the original text? Yes.
  • Is it grammatically correct Italian? Yes.

    5. Output:
Return only the final Italian translation.

L’estensione antepone sempre una descrizione verbosa in inglese dell’intento del prompt, anche quando l’utente interagisce in un’altra lingua. Questo avviene prima della risposta effettiva, che è anch’essa inizialmente in inglese, seguita da una versione tradotta. Interrompe l’esperienza utente, specialmente in contesti multilingue.
