Integrating a high contrast mode aims to facilitate reading for individuals with visual impairments.
On the landing page, applying a tritanopia filter results in a contrast ratio of 4.27 for the text: "PhD student and researcher" in the description of Frank Elavsky's role, which does not meet the minimum contrast requirements of level AA according to the WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines).
Adding this mode would resolve this issue without altering the initial color scheme. Activating this mode would increase the contrast of certain text elements, thus making them easier to read.
In summary, while the level AA contrast standards are already met, introducing this high contrast mode would improve the site's accessibility for persons with visual impairments.
