Is there anyway that we can use background processing in react native health with expo ?

I wanted to make an app that keeps sending the data to the backend for some business logic.
For instance, I would like to keep checking if the user's record of the highest step count is broken or not.
For that, I keep fetching the data from the client to the backend.

But I am using Expo
