Is the latest 2.x version stable?

Hi

I see there are two different versions of the library available. Why is that? 2.x seem to be using Transit, is there any practical reason not to use it? The readme file just suggests to "try the latest version", which in my opinion sounds like it's not (yet) stable?

Having not been updated since 2016, this library is anything if not stable 😄

The only problem I could imagine you'd have is if other libraries depend on Transit, and Transit has changed significantly since 2016, and you're not able to specify a version of Transit that satisfies all of the libraries you depend on.
