Slow sending of email verification emails means they are invalid when they arrive in my inbox. #29

Steps to Reproduce
When trying to verify my email, it takes approx 15-20 mins to receive the email, which renders them all invalid. This occurs regardless of which email provider I send the emails to (tested with Proton Mail and Gmail).
