[Bug]: Plugin Won't Install After Migrating Octoprint Python

Description of the bug

I got the notification that Octoprint would my python environment would no longer be supported (version 3.9) so I migrated my Octoprint to version 3.11.9

Everything works great except the WS281x plugin no longer functions. It does not appear installed in the plugin manager and upon installing, the notification says I should restart but the plugin is identified as "Unknown"

Via SSH and pip list, I can see that it is in-fact installed. Some research says that it might actually be an issue with a dependency of the plugin rather than the plugin itself.

Plugin does not show in the plugin manager or the settings, as if its not installed at all. No logs from the plugin are generated either

Just figured it out after getting tired of not having LEDs on my printer haha. Actually I missed the note in this thread

Instead of reflashing or running a dist-upgrade, you might be tempted to upgrade your Python installation by compiling Python yourself. On anything but a Raspberry Pi, that is fine. On a Pi, it can work. But in that case you really should disable the piwheels package index. Otherwise chances are high you'll pull in binary packages compiled for a different system than your's from there, especially if you are still on an older OctoPi version (e.g. 1.0.0 or even older). To disable piwheels on your Pi, you'll need to comment out the extra-index-url in your /etc/pip.conf:

sudo sed -i 's!extra-index-url=!#extra-index-url=!' /etc/pip.conf
Note that this will mean your Raspberry Pi will have to compile any python dependency that isn't already provided as a native wheel on the official Python packaging index itself, meaning that updates and also plugin installs will in all likelihood take significantly longer.

We therefore do not recommend this approach unless you really know what you are doing.

PiWheels was pulling binaries compiled for a different system which is why the installed package wasn't working.
SSH'ing in and manually uninstalling the following packages:
pip uninstall OctoPrint-WS281x-LED-Status
pip uninstall rpi_ws281x

then running the command:
sudo sed -i 's!extra-index-url=!#extra-index-url=!' /etc/pip.conf

and re-installing WS281x via the octoprint interface fixed the issue. Of course, we also could have just re-flashed the SD card and saved ourselves the trouble
