Formatting text in diagrams does not work properly?

This does not seem to work, despite what's described in documentation: (Tips and Tricks):

  ```mermaid
  graph LR
      hello["<b>Hello</b>"] --> world["<big><i>World</i></big>"]
      world --> mermaid[mermaid web site]
  ```

Any ideas why?
