Need actionable errors when MCP server cannot connect to database

Environment

I am using Gemini CLI on Mac. I had a typo in my env var for the PostgreSQL database name. I ran gemini --debug. the error message returned doesn't say it cant connect to that database. the message is not actionable.

Expected Behavior

need actionable errors so I can fix problems.

Current Behavior

no actionable.

Steps to reproduce?

Purposelly make a typo in env var. Start MCP server. see if error messages correctly pinpoint to typo
