So I've seen the Jan website app have a tab called tools and I see others have it? I also ask about this is cuz I want to input a character personality for roleplay if possible, thank you for reading. |

Yes, currently Jan supports Retrieval for reading files but it's only experimental for now. 
Once you turn it on, you should see the Screen.Recording.2024-09-12.at.2.48.34.PM.mov |

Yes, currently Jan supports Retrieval for reading files but it's only experimental for now.
Turn on Experimental Model in
Settigns>Advanced Settings>Experimental Mode. Currently it only supports PDF format.Once you turn it on, you should see the
Toolstab in Threads settings. Turn on Retrieval to enable File search (RAG).Screen.Recording.2024-09-12.at.2.48.34.PM.mov
