MCP does not load

I tried to use MCP with JAN nano folowing the guide but when I activate a MCP server I receive this error message "Failed to start MCP server Serper: connection closed: initialize response
Please check the parameters according to the tutorial."
(I am with apple sylicon M4).

It's exactly like what the message said: The server was unable to start. What is the command? If you run that command in the terminal, what do you see?

no idea.. I followed the instructions on the website and toggled MCP servers from settings.. and I get that message.

With the latest version, users can now see clearer error messages or more detailed information in the log. E.g. @paulhugel there should be SERPER_API_KEY inputted in MCP Server settings.
