Ideally should provide facility to generate an RGBA stream (not a BGRX which is incompatible with the texture definition)
Could also use XBGR, and offset the read by 1px (i've done this before, works well when you can allocate the buffer yourself, i,e, can make it 1px larger to offset between write and read)
