Environment Details:

OS Version: 24H2 (OS Build 26100.4315)

App: WinUI 3 Gallery

App Version: 2.6.0.0 (SDK 1.7)

AT: Fast Pass

Repro Steps:

1. Launch the WinUI 3 Gallery app.

2. Navigate to search box using tab key.

3. Type 'Flip View' in search box and hit enter.

4. Navigate to 'Flip View' card and activate it.

5. Now run the Fast pass and observe the issue

How to fix:

Fix any of the following:

Set a meaningful LocalizedControlType UI Automation property for this element.

Actual Results:

The LocalizeControlType should be reasonable based on the element's ControlTypeId

Expected Results:

Set a meaningful LocalizedControlType UI Automation property for this element.

User Impact:

Screen Reader user will face difficulties, if incorrect control type is defined for list items

Hi @sabareesanms Thanks for the details! I looked into this and found out that FlipView is not included in the list for Automation Control Types.

Since SelectorBar, another control not in Automation Control Types, is set as "list", we can apply the same approach to the FlipView:

<FlipView
    AutomationProperties.AutomationControlType="List"
    AutomationProperties.LocalizedControlType="list" />

I confirmed that this removes the errors on the Accessibility Insight app.
