Would a single tool for assigning items to github copilot be a good idea?

I often want to assign items to github copilot but it requires multiple calls to correctly configure an item with branch links, iteration path, area path, parenting etc so it can be worked on by copilot. The agent can't usually handle all these multiple calls and the config gets seriously messed up.

I've got a separate repo adding scripts and tools for doing all this automatically. Would that be a good fit to contribute to this repo instead of making my own tool?
