help me download the game, I don't understand programming, I followed the instructions, but I can't get it to work
2.Extract assets from the game

I entered these commands
task set-game-jak1
task set-decomp-pal
Then, I extracted the contents of the ISO file into the jak1 folder.
Once this is done, open a terminal in the jak-project folder and run the following:
task extract
I did it, but I got an error that I can't understand
PS D:\jak-project-0.2.29> task extract
task: Couldn't locate decompiler executable in './out/build/Release/bin/decompiler'
What should I do? help me pls

The error is because the decompiler hasn’t been built yet. After running task set-game-jak1 and task set-decomp-pal, run task build to compile everything. Once the build finishes, try task extract again — it should work. Just make sure CMake and a C++ compiler (e.g. Visual Studio on Windows) are installed.

You are making things harder on yourself then. Use the launcher that we provide that does the installation of the game for you. You only have to build from scratch as you are trying to if:

• You want to contribute to the project on a technical level
• You want to play jak 3 before it is officially ready.
