Missing C# code example.

Description

This is a reaction on https://opentelemetry.io/docs/specs/otel/error-handling/. C# example code is missing. I try to use an oltp exporter to send oltp trace and metrics to dynatrace. But I cannot see the traces there. I checked with an admin that it was not a role issue. I would like to have a file providing all debug information concerning opentelemtry but its is not easily exposed. Thanks.

For C# / .NET-specific examples and setup instructions, you can check its dedicated documentation here: https://opentelemetry.io/docs/languages/dotnet/exporters/. That page contains working examples and details on exporting telemetry to different backends.

Since this might relate to consistency across language examples in the spec, looping in @open-telemetry/specs-approvers to confirm whether we should consider adding a lightweight .NET example here for completeness, or if we should instead link users directly to the language-specific docs.

Just as an additional note, since you mentioned Dynatrace — if your application issue is related to data not appearing in their platform, that could also be likely a configuration or ingestion matter on their side.

OpenTelemetry provides the instrumentation framework and data model, but each backend (including Dynatrace) handles how telemetry data is received, processed and visualized. In that case, reaching out to Dynatrace support could be the next best step to verify the setup and ingestion configuration.

We should not add language-specific examples to the spec or add links to language-specific docs from the spec.

I managed to find my signals. But I could not find I way to self monitor OpenTelemetry itself. In Nlog, it was so easy and well documented : I knew I had an "InternalLogFile" property . So It was easy to troubelshoot instrumentation configuration itself. This was so helpfull.
