I believe you are missing the '-' before the D

I think you need:

sudo ./stapxx/samples/lj-lua-stacks.sxx --arg time=30 -DMAXSKIPPED=409600 -DMAXMAPENTRIES=4096000

Also those are very large values. I'm not sure if they will cause you trouble or not.
