Does it work on your device?

Currently it may not work sometimes. It's not known what's the reason. Please share your experience whether it works or not with your device.

Work with the following phone/OS:

XiaoMi Mi 3W with android 4.4.4 (and some earlier versions)
Nexus 4 (mako) with Android 6.0.1 / CyanogenMod 13.0 (tested on 2016-03-18)
LG Optimus 4X HD with Android 4.4.4 Omni Rom
Sony Xperia J (ST26i) with Android 4.1.2, under WeChat 6.3 and 5.2.
Huawei C8813Q with Android 4.1.2, WeChat 6.3.23.

What doesn't work:

Cannot get IMEI automatically with android 5.0 or above (see #9). You can obtain it manually. (This should be fixed by #23, but I cannot test)
OnePlus One with CM12.1 (android 5.1). incorrect key. (see #16)
Huawei H30-U10, WeChat 6.3.13. incorrect key (see #21).
Meizu MX4, incorrect key (see #21).
Huawei Honor6 L, android 4.4.2, wechat 6.3.23. incorrect key (see #34)

You can try the password cracker to find the key.
