How to use React component defined as class Plot extends React.PureComponent<PlotParams> {}

I get an error message form typescript:

node_modules/@types/react-plotly.js/index.d.ts:94:22 - error TS2515: Non-abstract class 'Plot' does not implement inherited abstract member render from class 'PureComponent<PlotParams, {}, any>'.

94 export default class Plot extends React.PureComponent<PlotParams> {
                        ~~~~

I reported this at definitelytyped (DefinitelyTyped/DefinitelyTyped#74037), but we are unsure whether this is actually a bug in the types.

What is the recommended, intended solution from the preact developers?

We'd need a reproduction, we have no idea how to recreate this error.

I'm not sure why we're using abstract classes TBH but I worry about the potential for a breaking change if we were to alter that. Patching (either Preact or that lib) might be the best bet for v10. Will certainly take a look for v11 though, and maybe it can slip into v10.
