Smtp4dev desktop won't start up

When I try to run Smtp4dev desktop, it pauses for about a second and flashes a black "command window", then the "command window" instantly goes away. No errors or anything. No logs in event viewer. As far as I know, no logs anywhere. Not sure what the issue could be. I'm trying to run it on my Windows Server 2016 box. I have .NET 8.0 installed. Any suggestions?

@icemanind Can you confirm the version?

Try start it from a command prompt window (copy the path to the exe and paste it in here) and you should see the full output without it closing.
