Is there any way I could know that I am using the fill handle.

As I've implemented custom logic to get the selected blocks by using the mouse position ( x and y) ,because i need to have selected blocks as state. I now struggle to differentiate whether i am copying ( using the fill handler) or just selecting . Is there any workaround or can you add a handler for me to know whether i use the handler.
