Synced Identities for proxmox (v18.x)

I noticed after the 18.0 update, all identities are FORCED to use SSH key Auth as a default. as some of these systems i have are not designed with that in mind, the fact that i am FORCED to use public key authentication is an annoying change. Is there a way to bypass this? it seems that after updating to the 18.x, publickey is the default instead of just password.

Can you elaborate on that? I just tried to create and use identities with only a password and it worked fine for me in 18.3. What version are you on? This sounds like a bug
