IMPORTANT: There are 3 users with trailing spaces as of the time of this pull request. Before deploying this PR, the database needs to be update to remove any leading or trailing spaces from all usernames stored in the database - otherwise these users will never be able to login again. |

When a user registers, resets, or logs in with a user with leading or trailing spaces, the app may reject the request due to a mismatch with with is in the database.
