The kubectl actuator plugin allows you to interact with Spring Boot Actuator endpoints directly from kubectl. It’s useful for operating and troubleshooting Spring Boot apps running in Kubernetes.

Current feature set:

  • Logger management: List loggers and change their levels at runtime
  • Scheduled tasks: View cron, fixed-rate, and fixed-delay tasks along with their last/next run times and current status
  • Application info: Display build and runtime metadata

Examples:

kubectl actuator --pod my-app-pod logger
kubectl actuator --pod my-app-pod logger com.example.service DEBUG
kubectl actuator --deployment my-app scheduled-tasks

I originally built this plugin for my own use, found it quite helpful and hope that others will find value in it as well.

Thanks for submitting your kubectl plugin to Krew!
One of the krew-index maintainers will review it soon. Note that the reviews for new plugin submissions may take a few days.

In the meanwhile, here are a few tips to make your plugin manifest better:

  • Make sure your plugin follows the best practices.
  • Eliminate redundant wording form shortDescription (it should be max 50 characters).
  • Try to word wrap your description to 80-character lines (no usage examples, please).

Thanks for your patience!
