no need for cute names with healthy project structure

Agreed! Especially since every combination of "Processing", "p5", "python", and "py" is already out there, including:

  • ppython
  • py5
  • Processing.py
  • p5py (also called p5)
  • pyp5js
  • Py5.js
  • And yes... Pycessing

@SableRaf thanks for mentioning all of this. wait.. there is actually a pycessing. sigh. i do wonder how much of this is to set the vision and then for someone else to take on...

There was a Pycessing, but it seems it was only active from 2009 to Somewhere around 2013-15

From 2015 the website at pycessing.org only said "pycessing.org has been shut down for now."

I had not heard of that project until just now.

Evidently there are only so many punny processing names people can come up with. ^^

I think sticking with the generic name until we have time for a more focused branding push makes sense.
