This gets rid of the checked-in react code, which was causing huge diffs
This allows us to keep the size of the node_modules folder at a somewhat more manegable size.

This takes care of the huge diffs caused by committing the compiled js and map files. We also use regular npm, instead of yarn, so one less thing to install.
